Ageo Ivan Ortiz Alvarado, 29, passed away December 25, 2025, at his home in Brunswick.

Born on October 17, 1996, in Cardena Tabasco, Mexico, Ivan has lived in Brunswick since he was six years old. He graduated with the Class of 2015 from Glynn Academy, where he enjoyed being active with JROTC.

Ivan was a skilled handyman who didn't just work with his hands for a living, but out of true passion—always building, fixing, and helping others whenever he could.

He enjoyed life through many passions. He enjoyed video games, golfing, fishing, and, most recently, found great joy and discipline in martial arts - which he truly loved. Staying active was important, whether running or jogging, as it reflected his strong and determined spirit. He deeply loved his dogs, found peace in watching sunrises, and held a strong love for his parents and siblings. Above all else, his greatest love was for his children; they were his world, and nothing mattered more to him than being their father.

Ivan will be remembered for his kindness, dedication, and the deep love he had for his family. He will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him and will never be forgotten.

He is survived by his wife, and high school sweetheart, Alys Salinas; children, Victoria Ela and Nicolas Ivan Ortiz; parents, Maria Alvarado Mendez and Eulalio Ortiz; and his sisters, Stephanie, Cielo, and Michell Ortiz.

Services will be held Friday, January 2, 2025, at Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home. Viewing and Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. Funeral Service will follow at 6:00 p.m. Ivan will be inurned in Brunswick Memorial Park at a later date.
