Albert 'Ray' Woodhouse, 59, of Nahunta died Tuesday, June 6, 2006 in Lake City, FL. Mr. Woodhouse had been a long-time resident of Brunswick and later Nahunta, having moved to the area from Chicago in 1985. He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam era and was a recipient of the Bronze Star Medal. He loved raising birds of all kinds, was an avid birdwatcher and a well-known bird breeder. He also collected butterflies, coins and stamps. He had been a faithful member of St. Francis Xavier Church and when unable to attend mass, watched on EWTN. He prayed for the living and the dead, and made many rosaries and sent them all over the world. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie L. Woodhouse of Nahunta; one step-son Denis Martin O'Brien of Brunswick; two foster children; ten god-children; brothers-and-sisters in law, Daniel Lane of Crescent, Ray and Sandie Webb of Brunswick, Hazel Truesdell of Hortense, Carl and Robin Bascara of Yugo, Guam, Sandra Lane of Brunswick and Cynthia Cox of Hortense; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Honorary pallbearers are the members of Alcoholics Anonymous.
