Alma L. Rauber, 93, of Brunswick passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2005 at Southeast Georgia Health System--Brunswick Campus. A native of Plainfield, New Jersey, Mrs. Rauber had been a resident of Brunswick for the past 28 years. She volunteered for and made many charitable gifts to several organizations in the Glynn County area. She is survived by her only daughter, Joyce M. McClain of Gila Bend, Arizona; Seven grandchildren: Michelle L. Ussery, Dr. Suzanne Bishop and Dana M. Gardner of St. Simons Island, Jennifer L. Owens, David J. Mericle and Lesley M. Flournoy of Brunswick and Kimberly A. Mericle of Williams, Oregon; 16 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Safe Harbor Children''s Shelter. The Golden Isles Cremation Society is in charge of arrangements.
