Alvin Ray Marshall, 83, of Brunswick died Monday in Baxley. Mr. Marshall moved to Brunswick in 1969 from Spartanburg, S.C. He was retired after 37 years with Norfolk Southern Railroad. Funeral Services will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home, with Rev. Craig Hartzog officiating. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mr. Marshall's grandchildren and great grandchild. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Entombment will be in Brunswick Memorial Park Mausoleum. Mr. Marshall is survived by two sons; Ronald Marshall and Dennis Marshall, both of Brunswick; step son Rusty Macgee of Brunswick; three brothers, Virgil Marshall of AL., Bob Marshall and David Marshall, both from Spartanburg, S.C.; four grandchildren, Dewayne Leachman, Alvin Marshall, Ronda Marshall and Matthew Marshall; one great grandchild, Bradley Marshall. He was predeceased by his wife, Doris R. Marshall; a daughter, Jacqueline Diane Hounchell; and a sister, Vivian Morgan.
