Alysia Marie Baptist, 42, of Brunswick passed away April 10, 2017 at Hospice of the Golden Isles. Memorial Services will be Saturday, April 15, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Alysia Marie Baptist-Simpson was born to Glenn and Dorothy Mayo-Baptist on May 10th, 1974 in Suffern, New York. She was the youngest of six children. She made her transition to be with the Lord on April 10th, 2017. Alysia graduated from Germantown High School in Philadelphia, PA after which she continued her education at the Everest University receiving her associates in science degree in Business Administration.
Alysia confessed Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was a member of the Tabernacle Church of Deliverance in Brunswick, Georgia. Alysia was a role model to many children. Her nurturing disposition allowed children of all ages to feel welcomed and comfortable in her home. She took her responsibilities as a mother seriously and supported her own children in all of their endeavors. She enjoyed cooking for her family and was well known for her spaghetti.
Alysia leaves to cherish her memory her beloved husband Hubert; five children, Francine, Shanice, Dotrice, Rayshawn, and Cassandra all of Brunswick, GA; one step son, Charles Price; one grandson, Jayden Price; four sisters, Sheila Harrison (Jerry), Cassandra Edwards (Nate), L'Tanya Young (Scott) of New York and Glynda Goings (Clayton) of Suffolk, VA; one brother, Larry Baptist of New York; a beloved aunt and uncle, Francine and Sydney Lee of Townsend; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other friends and relatives. Alysia will be greatly missed.
