Andrew James "Andy" Blackmon, 35, of Jesup, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2026, in Jesup.

Andy was born on September 26, 1990, in Kennesaw, Georgia, to Deborah Stone Blackmon and the late William Thomas Blackmon. He was a graduate of Georgia Southern University, where he earned a degree in Physics followed by a Master's degree in Engineering. Andy was employed as a Systems Operator at Plant Hatch.

Andy had a quick wit and a wonderful sense of humor that could brighten any room. He loved sharing jokes with family and friends and enjoyed cheering on the Atlanta Braves and the Georgia Bulldogs. In his spare time, he found enjoyment in playing video games and spending time doing the things he loved most.

In addition to his father, Andy was preceded in death by his brother, Benjamin David Blackmon.

He is survived by his loving mother, Deborah Stone Blackmon; his uncle, Roger Stone; and other extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory.

Though his life was far too short, Andy will be remembered for his brilliant mind, kind heart, infectious humor, and the lasting impact he made on those fortunate enough to know and love him. His memory will be treasured always.
