Angela Renee Rocha Fortner, age 57, passed away peacefully at her home on December 8, 2025, after a brief illness. She was born on June 6, 1968, in Brunswick, Georgia.

A 1986 graduate of Brunswick High School, Angie later earned her bachelor's degree in psychology from Phoenix University. She dedicated much of her life to helping others, volunteering passionately with women's shelters and the local homeless shelter.

Angie was a lifelong lover of the beach, sunflowers, and all things cats. Creative at heart, she found joy in building fairy gardens and spending quiet moments reading. She married the love of her life, Jack Fortner, in 2015, and together they cherished years of traveling and making memories. Angie also treasured time with her best friend, Amy, and shared many special moments yard sale hunting with her father, Tony.

Her greatest pride in life were her three daughters — Miranda, Alyssa, and Chelsea — and the light of her world were her grandsons, JC and Jenson.

Angie was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Manuel and Manuela Rocha; her maternal grandparents, Verdie Mae and Roy Rowell; and her brothers, Marcus Rocha and Paul Rocha.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Jack Fortner; her parents, Tony and Charlotte Rocha; her brother, Joe Rocha; her children, Miranda (CG) Breedlove, Alyssa Outhwaite (Jon Gore), and Chelsea Outhwaite (John Almand); her stepson, Kyrsten Fortner; and her beloved grandchildren, JC and Jenson Breedlove and Raven Fortner. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A service to honor Angie's life will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home, with visitation beginning one hour prior.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Glynn County Humane Society, reflecting Angie's lifelong love of cats.
