It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Aubrey Everton Desmond Moore. Aubrey was born on October 3, 1964, and gained his angelic wings on September 26, 2024.
Aubrey was the cherished last child of the late Viola Richards and Hudson Moore. He spent his formative years in Newfield Village, an Eastern part of Antigua and Barbuda, where he grew up surrounded by five sisters, five brothers, late maternal aunts and cousins who were very dear to him. He attended Newfield Primary School and later advanced to Antigua Grammar School. Aubrey was not only a dedicated student but also a talented athlete, known for his vibrant performances with the Newfield Cricket Club. His love for the game of cricket remained a constant throughout his life.
Aubrey later moved to Brunswick, GA, where he spent over 20 plus years of his life. He was deeply loved and cherished by his family and friends. Aubrey is survived by his wife, Petula, his five children, Aubriena, Aubriel, Aubretta, Quincy, and Aleah, and his six grandchildren, Amia, Jalaya, Camilla, Desmond, Dwayne, and Skai. He also leaves behind numerous other family members and friends who held a special place in his heart.
Aubrey dedicated 19 years of his life as an engineer with the Sea Island Engineering department on St. Simons Island, GA. Known for his versatility, Aubrey was a true jack-of-all-trades, excelling in carpentry, masonry, plumbing, car repairs, and various other skills. He had a green thumb and greatly enjoyed grilling for his family.
Aubrey will be deeply missed and remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his innovativeness and wit. May his soul rest in peace.
