Barbara V. Brock Jacobs, 89, of Brunswick died Monday at the Brunswick hospital of the Southeast Georgia Health System. She was lifelong resident of Brunswick and a homemaker. She was a bookkeeper for Jacobs Plastering Company, a family business, and was a member of Lakeside United Methodist Church. A graveside funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 9, 2007 at Brunswick Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Earl Parrish will officiating. Visitation was held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 8, 2007 at the chapel of Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home. Survivors include a son, Jess W. Jacobs of Tamassee, S.C.; a daughter, Barbara J. Knapp of Brunswick; a brother, J. T. Brock of Brunswick; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Lakeside United Methodist Church Building Fund. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home.
