Beatrice Hope, 93, of Brunswick, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2015 at the Senior Care Center. Born June 9, 1922 in Albany, Missouri she was the daughter of James Smith and Jessie Miller Smith. Beatrice owned Bea's Blossom Shop on St. Simons Island, she was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church and very active in the community. She volunteered her time at the local hospital and the Seafarers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Hope of Brunswick and a son, Robert Strange of Shenandoah, Iowa. Beatrice is survived by one daughter, Darlene Curry (Lance) of Brunswick; one son, Richard Strange (Donna) of Sioux Falls, SD; 10 grandchildren, Thresea Larson, Michael Curry, Jimmy Curry, Bobby Lane, Doris Dickerson, Kathy White, Curtis Strange, Erin Strange, Dawn Strange and Kimberly Ochoa; 17 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 13, 2015 in the Chapel of Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Hospice of the Golden Isles.
