Benjamin F. O'Quinn Jr., 83, of Brunswick passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at his home. A devoted husband, loving father and grandfather who will be sadly missed. He retired from Hercules Inc. as a Boilermaker in March 1997. He had been a member of Emanuel United Methodist Church for 76 years. He was preceded in death by his wife of nearly 60 years, Nina Mae Thompson O'Quinn and his son, Larry Frank O'Quinn. He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Bessent (Greg), grandsons Corey Bessent (Tora) and Josh Bessent (Sarah), a granddaughter, Chelsea Foster (Chris); great-grandchildren, Sadie Mae O'Quinn, Charles Andrew Foster, Griffin Lee Bessent; a brother, Danny O'Quinn (Cheryl), sisters, Faye Huschke and Sandra Farrow (Roger) and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will have a visitation at 10:00 am on Friday, May 31, 2019 at Emanuel United Methodist Church, 245 Ratcliff Road, Brunswick, prior to a memorial service at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations be made to Emanuel United Methodist Church Building Fund or Hospice of the Golden Isles.
