Betty Jean 'B.J.' Asbell, 67, of Blythe Island passed away Friday at her residence. She was a longtime resident of Blythe Island and graduated from Glynn Academy. She attended the University of Georgia, and was an artist. She is survived by her mother, Mary Asbell of Blythe Island; 2 sisters, Mary Ann Asbell of Bonita Springs, Fl., and Peggy (Mike) Wood of Charleston, S.C. a niece, Erin (Richard) Larson, and a nephew, Richard Wood, and a great- niece, Hannah Larson. She was pre-deceased by her father, Offie Asbell. Memorial Services will be held Tuesday at 2PM in the chapel of the Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home with the Reverend Bert Cramer officiating.
