Betty Carol Freeman, age 77, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at the Hospice of the Golden Isles surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Freeman was born on April 4, 1944 in Mitchell County, Georgia and was the oldest of two daughters to Charlie and Vivian Williford. Mrs. Freeman worked for SunTrust Bank in the Macon and Athens GA areas for 38 years before retiring in 2006. In 2011, Mrs. Freeman and her husband moved to St Simons Island, GA. She was of the Methodist faith and was a regular attendee of the Precept Bible Study Group there on St Simons. Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Ronnie Freeman; her daughter April Marsh (Chris) of Dublin, GA; 2 granddaughters, MacKenzie and Maggie Marsh; sister, Charlene Williams (Arnold), Perry, GA; nieces and nephews; many great nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
