Obituary

Betty Lou Henderson, 88, entered Heaven Monday, November 28, 2022. Her graveside memorial service will begin at 11:30 am, Saturday, March 11, 2023, at Brunswick Memorial Park, 4407 US Highway 17 North, Brunswick, GA 31525. The family will receive visitors beginning at 11am.  Pastors Benji Varnell and Tom Dent will preside over the service.

Betty was born May 4, 1934, in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late George Maust and the late Lou Gribble Brooks.

She never met a stranger; everyone was her friend. She could talk to anyone, and she did! She was an avid animal lover, especially cats. She did have two Kiesh Hounds, Peanut and Fred in addition to her numerous cats. She was known as "the cat lady."

She is survived by two daughters, Bobbie Jean Baites of Hazel Green, Al., and Sandy Heath Allen (Robert) of Simpsonville, SC. In addition to her daughters are five grandchildren: Dena Roadman, Lori Handley, Patrick Baites, Ginger Ashley and Heather Allen; nine great grandchildren and four great, great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Virgil Brooks; brother, William (Bill) Maust; sons, Richard Lewis Heath and Ronald Ernest Heath; granddaughter, Ashley Nicole Allen; son-in-law, Bobby McEwin Baites; daughter-in-law, Teresa Ann Heath.
