Betty Jo (Smith) Youmans of Brunswick, passed away peacefully at her residence on Wednesday, April 21. She would have been 77 on Saturday, April 24.Betty was born and raised in West Virginia. After graduating, she moved to Washington DC, where she worked for the FBI. She married Roscoe "Rocky" Youmans, a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force, in 1957. They lived for a number of years in Europe before returning to the U.S. Upon Rocky's retirement from the military, they moved to Brunswick in 1965. Betty was retired from Georgia Pacific - Brunswick Pulp & Paper.She is survived by her sister, Elaine Clark, and nephew/godson, Steven Clark, and great nephew, Logan Clark, all of Brunswick; one brother, Paul Smith of Ohio; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and great great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Forest and Eleanor Smith; husband, Roscoe "Rocky" Youmans; and brothers Robert Smith, Bill Smith, Charles Smith, and Tommy Smith.
