IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Beverly Bennett
Grinstead
March 12, 1954 – March 29, 2025
Beverly Bennett Grinstead, 71, peacefully entered her Heavenly home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 29, 2025, with her son and daughter-in-law by her side in Hayden, Idaho. She was born on March 12, 1954, to the late John T. and Nadine Brantley Bennett in Brunswick, Georgia.
Beverly went on to graduate from Brunswick High School in 1972, after which she entered the workforce as a secretary for Independent Life Insurance Co. for many years. Later, she found work for Carlton Hicks, OD, and Dewayne Cochran, OD, as well as Allstate Insurance Company, and Henry Flournoy, OBGYN.
Beverly made a lifetime of friendships, many of which were ongoing, during her membership at Norwich Street Church of God, where she attended church from her childhood through her early adulthood. Though Beverly moved from town to town with her family several times, she always found a church to call home. She loved singing and being involved in the music ministry. Beverly found joy in faithfully teaching Sunday School for children five and six years old. She was truly grateful for all of the relationships and friendships she made along the way.
Upon her return to Brunswick in 2013, Beverly became a member of Turning Point Worship Center (formerly known as New Life Sanctuary), where her love for singing for the Lord led her again to serve in the music ministry. After six years, Beverly made a trip back to Idaho, where she decided to remain in order to be close to her son and grandchildren.
Beverly loved her time in Brunswick and calling the Golden Isles home. Times spent on the beach with family and friends were among her favorites. She enjoyed crafting, sewing, and gardening whenever and wherever she could. She was an avid recipe collector and was proud to have had an article along with some of her recipes published in the Tattnall County local newspaper. Above all else, Beverly loved her family and the Lord; her faith and resilience were her strongest assets.
Beverly was preceded in death by her infant son, Aaron Grinstead, and her parents, John T. and Nadine Brantley Bennett.
She is survived by her son, Adam Grinstead (Jordyn); her grandchildren, who were the loves of her life, Rhett, Boone, Dutch, and Tulsi; sisters, Janice Merritt (Gary) and Debra Jordan; nieces, Melissa Odom, Julia Padgett, and Sandy Kovacs; nephews, John Jordan, Joey Jordan, and Gary Grinstead; several great nieces and nephews; as well as many close friends she lovingly called her sisters.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday May 3, 2025 at Turning Point Worship Center. Family will have a time of visitation from 10:00 till 10:30. The service will begin at 10:30 with Rev. Richard Baker officiating, and Gary Merritt playing "How Great Thou Art".
The family would like to acknowledge her incredibly special friends, Bonita Anderson, Pati Michels, Phyllis Garrett, Dorothy Cox, as well as her tech, Max Sharpe, and nurse, Brittney San aqustin, the doctors and staff of Fresenius Kidney care, and Bob Sisson and Phillip Winslow of Scott's Taxi of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
Inurnment will take place at Brunswick Memorial Park Cemetery. Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home is honored to have assisted the Grinstead family.
