It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Brenda Lois Strickland. She was born on July 26, 1946, in Douglas, GA, and passed July 13, 2025, in Brunswick, GA. A beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, she will be dearly missed but never forgotten.

Brenda is survived by her devoted daughter, Brenda Charlene Carter, and cherished daughter-in-law, Shirley Ann Carter. Her legacy will continue in the lives of her loving grandchildren, Anastasia Warner, Amber Baca, Jonathan Strickland Jr., James Andrew Carter, Samantha Strickland, Brittaney Strickland, Kourey Grooms, Phillip Strickland and Garrett Beppler. She leaves behind her caring siblings Angela Santiago, Marcus Black, and Tony Black; as well as sister-in-law Rebecca Nichols. She is also survived by several great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Their shared memories and bond will forever keep Brenda's presence alive in their hearts.

Brenda was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Bobby L Strickland. Their love story was one for the ages and their bond unbreakable. She was also preceded in death by her sons, Bobby Edward Strickland and Jonathan M Strickland; parents, Floyd and Minnie Black, and her beloved grandson, Brandon Strickland, whom she loved dearly.

Brenda was raised in a Christian home and served the Lord. She enjoyed gospel music and writing poetry, and her poems will serve as beautiful reminders of her to those she leaves behind. Brenda had a heart that knew no bounds, and her home was a revolving door of kindness and warmth. Her love, resilience, and spirit will echo in the hearts of those who loved her, as her legacy continues to inspire and guide us.

Her family will continue to honor her life by living their own lives with the same determination, strength, and unconditional love Brenda showed during her time with us.

Her spirit lives on, not only in the stories of her life but in the lives of those she blessed with her love. Until we meet again, rest in peace, Brenda.
