Byron K. Barkley, 45, of Brunswick passed away Thursday, March 2, 2006 at Hospice of the Golden Isles. Born in Brunswick, Mr. Barkley had lived in Brantley county before returning to Glynn county in 1989. He was employed by the Jekyll Island Authority as a golf course turf tech. He is survived by his parents, James and Vanita Barkley of Brunswick; two brothers, Barry Barkley of Atkinson and Craig Barkley of Fernandina Beach, FL; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of the Golden Isles, 1692 Glynco Parkway, Brunswick, GA 31525. Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
