Callie Medlin Harber, 75, of Brunswick, GA entered eternal rest on Sunday, August 25, 2019, just four days before her 76th birthday. She passed at home after a brief illness.
She was a native of Augusta, GA, and daughter of the late Walter Taylor Medlin III and Elsie Horne Medlin. She graduated from Richmond High School in 1962. Shortly after graduation, she married the love of her life, Bobby Joe Harber. In 1963, their only child, Lisa, was born.
Her occupations throughout the years included mill worker and self-employed with her husband, Bobby, repairing church organs under the business name of Harber's Organ Service. She was a very loving mother as well and spent many years as a housewife and mother extraordinaire to Lisa in her younger years. She and Bobby truly enjoyed their 35 years of traveling and repairing church organs. They loved being together and this occupation made that a reality for them. They met many people in this profession and were loved by all. Her hobbies were traveling, making flower arrangements, shopping, and watching the Atlanta Braves. She was a proud grandmother of three, great grandmother of two and barely missed seeing her third great-granddaughter born a week after she passed.
She was predeceased by her husband Bobby. She is survived by her daughter Lisa (Peter) Lamos of Brunswick, GA; her three grandchildren, Raven (Craig) Allen of Brunswick, GA; Nicholas (Charlsie) Lamos of Brunswick, GA; Ashley Lamos of Atlanta, Georgia; her great-granddaughters Harper Dixon of Brunswick, GA Liesyl Lamos of Brunswick, GA, and Mabry Jo Lamos of Brunswick, GA; three brothers--Danny (Sandra) Medlin of Augusta, GA, Walter (Suzie) Medlin IV of Augusta, GA, and Ricky (Jackie) Medlin of North Augusta, South Carolina; two sisters-Linda (Gary) Perkins and Kathy (Mark) Barkley of Augusta, Georgia; and many nieces and nephews in Augusta, Georgia.
A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 14, 2019, at Lighthouse Church Brunswick on Hwy 17 in Brunswick, Georgia, with her son-in-law, Peter Lamos, officiating.
