Obituary

Calvin Lanier Johnson, 71, of Darien, passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Calvin graduated from Glynn Academy and was with the Local Union 177 for 50 years. He was an avid deer hunter. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Judy Kennedy Johnson; daughters, Cynthia Ann Johnson, CPA of Brunswick and Priscilla Lynn Johnson, Special Agent United States Secret Service, of Orlando, FL; a sister, Linda Dewan (Rakesh) of San Antonio, TX; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 10, 2016 in the Chapel of Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home with Pastor Curtis Geary officiating. Interment will follow in Brunswick Memorial Park Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be Richard Kennedy, Roger Johnson, Sr., Daryl Johnson, David Manning, Bruce Baker and Butch Scroggins. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Local 177. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, September 9, 2016 at Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of the Golden Isles.
