Carol Ann Chadwick Lancaster, 72, left this life for her heavenly home on September 15, 2022, in Jasper, Georgia due to Alzheimer's disease. She was born in Brunswick, Georgia on June 9, 1950, to Thomas Robert Chadwick and Edna Hill Chadwick.

Ann, as she was known to her family and friends, was a past Worthy Advisor of Brunswick Assembly #55, International Order of Rainbow for Girls, and recipient of the Grand Cross of Color. She graduated from Glynn Academy in 1968 where she was a member of the Glynn Academy marching and honor bands, Library Club, PAL, and Science Club. She graduated from Brunswick Junior College (Coastal Community College of GA) in 1970 as a radiology technician.

During her 48-year career she worked in several hospitals in south and north Georgia and received additional training as an MRI technician. She trained technicians on the use of Mobile MRI Units across the country. She retired with over ten years with Pinnacle Imaging in north Georgia.

Ann was an avid animal lover having owned a variety of animals including an appaloosa horse, Siamese cats, Irish setters, and rescued abandoned sister Plott Hounds. She volunteered at the Humane Society of Georgia and supported ASPCA. She was a member of First Redeemer Church in Cumming, Georgia, and sang in the choir for several years.

She is predeceased by her parents; her maternal grandparents, Floyd U and Ethel Hicks Hill; great Aunt Robbie H. Ward and Aunt Dorothy M. Hill of Brunswick, GA, paternal grandparents Thomas and Sarah Chadwick, Uncles Adrian and Hector Chadwick and Aunt Gladys C. Hood of Rhode Island. She is survived by her husband of 52 years Milton Brady Lancaster of Brunswick GA, a sister Sherrill C. Waddell of Montgomery AL, a brother Thomas Floyd (Nan) Chadwick of Waleska GA, niece Tara C. (Philip) Zeigler of Conyers, GA, nephew Lyle Thomas Chadwick of Acworth, GA and three grandnephews Nolan Thomas Zeigler, Jacob Ryan Zeigler, and Lucas Colin Zeigler. She has surviving cousins in Brunswick, Kentucky, Florida, and Rhode Island. A visitation and celebration of her life will be held at Roper Funeral Home; Jasper, Georgia; Friday, September 23, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Brunswick Memorial Park; Brunswick, GA; October 7, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
