Caroline Elaine McCormick peacefully passed away on September 15th, 2023, at the age of 84 in Brunswick, Georgia. She was born on June 5th, 1939, in W. Glens Falls, NY to the late Arthur Manosh and Ada Pendell (nee Manosh).
Caroline was a devoted mother and a pillar of strength for her family. She will be deeply missed by her children: William Newbauer, Timothy Newbauer, Michele Newbauer-White, and Nichole Newbauer-Sanders. Caroline's legacy continues through her grandchildren: Matthew Newbauer, Renee Sanders, Aaron Newbauer, David Newbauer, Richard Xavier Nichols, Julian Nichols, Angelique Newbauer, Santino Davila, and her great-grandchildren: Elijah, Alyssa, Amaya, Za'Veon, Raigan, Ryan, and Luna. She is also survived by her sister, Sandra Tunison, and sister-in-law, Donna Varian and many nieces and nephews around the world.
Caroline's dedication to her faith was evident in her active involvement at Life in Christ Church in Brunswick, GA, where she was a cherished member of the congregation. She found solace and joy in worship and brought countless individuals closer to God through her compassionate nature.
In addition to her strong faith, Caroline had a vibrant personality and a heart of pure benevolence. She was always there to lend a helping hand and spread love and kindness to everyone she encountered. Caroline's selflessness also extended before retiring as she served as a Detective Lt. for the Department of Defense. She was a graduate of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Brunswick, GA, and the Berkeley County Police Academy in Moncks Corner, South Carolina.
Outside of her career, Caroline had a passion for painting, singing, and writing. These creative outlets allowed her to express her innermost thoughts and emotions. She found joy in bringing beauty into the world through her artwork and using her voice to uplift others.
A Celebration of Life will be held on October 28th, 2023, at 1:00 PM at Life in Christ Church, located at 1224 Chapel Crossing Rd, Brunswick, GA 31525. The ceremony will honor Caroline's remarkable life and the impact she had on those around her.
Caroline will forever be remembered as a beacon of God's faithful love, a devoted servant of God and loving mother, and a source of inspiration to all who knew her. Her legacy of kindness and compassion will continue to touch lives for generations to come. As we her family bid farewell from this earth, we take comfort in knowing that she is now in glory with the Lord and we will meet her there. We are grateful and know she is now hearing the Lord saying, "Well done, good and faithful servant."
