Carolyn Kennedy Elrod, 70, beloved wife to the late Teddy Elrod, entered into eternal peace on March 15, 2015 at Hospice of the Golden Isles in Brunswick, Georgia. Carolyn was born December 10, 1944, a daughter of the late Wilma and Duward Kennedy and Step-Mother Katherine Kennedy. She graduated from the Statesboro High School in 1962 and is a graduate of the University of Cosmetology in Biloxi, Mississippi. Carolyn then went on to become a master cosmetologist, worked for Revlon and later went on to own her own Salon, "Clippers Cove" of St. Simons Island, Georgia where she later retired due to health reasons. Carolyn is a very kind and gentle soul; she has a loving and generous heart and was always giving to others. She is a beloved sister, mother, Granny, and friend. She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her sister, Joyce Westberry (David) of Brunswick, GA; daughters, Wendye Carroll and Stacye Fickle (Craig) both of Atlanta, GA, and Angela Wilson (Steve) of Richmond Hill, GA; Step-Son, Ted Elrod (Cricket) of Brunswick, GA; Step-Brothers Scotty, Don, Scott, the late Jerry, and Step-Sister Glenda all of Statesboro, GA; 7 Grandchildren, Peytne, Hope, Luke, Jake, Amber, Emma, and Mattie; and Nephews, Clay Morris and John Morris (Sandy) of Statesboro, GA. Memorial Services will be held 2:00 pm Friday, March 20, 2015 at Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home located at 4407 US Hwy 17 North, Brunswick, GA 31525.
