Carroll J. King, 81, passed on to be with the Lord Wednesday, December 10, 2025, surrounded by his family.

Born in Dixie Union, Georgia, on November 30, 1944, he was the son of Ed and Eva Mae Rowell King. He was the Maintenance Supervisor/Director of the Brunswick Housing Authority until his retirement in 2006, after nearly 20 years of service. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Yvonne P. King, and daughter, Holly Durden (Adam), of Brantley County; brothers, Donald "Duck" King of Dixie Union, GA, and Gregory "Rooster" King (Debra) of Camden County; sister, Bridgett King of Dixie Union; one grandchild, Tyler Durden (Jayci); sister-in-law, Debra Phillips (Tim) of Florida; and brother-in-law, Bill Phillips (Lynn) of Brunswick. He is also survived by many more loved ones, including Ashley McGowen (Shawn), Shae Simmons, Tyrus Skipper (Emily), Tonya Bennett, Donna Gaddis, Eddie King, Sharla Anderson, Johnny Johnston, Dana Hand, Brandi Ferguson, Amy Lloyd, and several more nieces and nephews.
