Cecil S. Little, 93, departed this life Saturday, October 2, 2021, at his home in Brunswick. Cecil lived a colorful life. Born in Blount County, Alabama, on March 20, 1928, to the late Samuel E. and Esma W. Little, he was a 1945 graduate of Glynn Academy and an Eagle Scout. After service in the United States Army, and a year working at Central Hardware, he began what would be a 40 year and one-month career as a Lab Technician at Hercules, Inc., retiring in 1989. His parallel career as a public servant included 27 years of helping to conduct local elections with the Glynn County Board of Elections, resigning his chairmanship on July 31, 2003, the Glynn County Police Department Auxiliary, and Glynn County Fire Department Auxiliary. He served as a deacon at Norwich Street Baptist Church and Calvary Baptist Church. Cecil was married 73 years to his lovely wife Lawanna Kinchen Little, who preceded him in death. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. In addition to his parents and wife, Cecil was predeceased by his sister, Marie L. Massey, and brother, Joe E. Little. He is survived by his son, Michael S. Little (Renee) of San Antonio, Tx, and daughter, Michelle C. Little of Brunswick; sister, Elaine L. Koeing (Tony) of Minneola, FL; grandson, Stephen M. Little (Meccia) of San Antonio; and three great-grandchildren, Wilson, Burke, and Kate, all of San Antonio. Visitation will be 6-7 pm, Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home. Funeral Services will begin at 11 am, Thursday, October 7, 2021, in the chapel of Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in the Chapel Mausoleum at Brunswick Memorial Park.
