Cecil A. Moore, Sr., 82, of Brunswick passed away Sunday, January 15, 2006 in Charleston, SC. Mr. Moore had moved to Glynn Coounty in 1963 coming from Savannah, GA. He was a new home builder and owned and operated Moore Homes, Inc. for many years in Brunswick. He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Abundant Life Church of God where he served on the church council. He was also president of the Home Builder's Association in Brunswick. He loved fishing and will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, brother and husband. He is survived by two daughters, Libby Kersey and Linda Green, both of Brunswick; a son, Phillip Moore of Brunswick; a sister, Grace Ward of Midway, GA; a brother, Zeno Moore of Savannah; Five grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers are: Chris Hatcher, Jareb Tomberlin, Javan Green, Kip Boswell, Frank Moore and Barry Moore. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the American Diabetes Association or to the New Ministry Church of God. Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
