Celeste Moore Vidrine, 83, passed away at her home in Waynesville with her family by her side on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, following a long illness. Born September 26, 1938, in Washington, GA, to Mark Allen and Essie Sue West Moore, she was the eleventh of twelve children. She was married for 61 years to Joe Vidrine, who preceded her in death. They lived most of their lives and raised their children on Jekyll Island. Celeste was the head housekeeper at the Wanderer Motel on Jekyll until her retirement. She was known for two things: Gardening and Cooking. She could grow anything and was a spectacular cook. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by ten of her eleven siblings. She is survived by her children, Alia M Murray, Stanley Vidrine, Keith Vidrine (Cricket), and Rena Corwin (Richard); grandchildren, AJ Murray, Mark Murray, Kyle Corwin (Tayler), Michael Vidrine (Stephanie), Meghan Corwin, and Joseph Vidrine; great-grandchildren, Creighton Murray, Emma Corwin, and Zackary Vidrine, all of Brunswick; her brother, Frank Jewel Moore of Cartersville, GA; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 16, 2021, at 11 am at Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home. Remembrances may be made to GHC Hospice, 777 Gloucester Street #303, Brunswick, GA 31520.
