Charles S. Lake, 101, of Brunswick died peacefully Monday at Sears Manor to be with his beloved wife, Frances. He was born in Biddeford, Maine and was the first generation born in America with Greek immigrant parents. He was also one of twelve children. He met and married Frances during World War II, and they were together for 66 years. He was a US Army veteran and served in the Pacific Theatre. He retired from the restaurant business in New York in 1975, and lived in Glynn County since 1985.He is survived by 2 children, Steve (Cathy) Lake of Columbus Ohio, and Catherine (Cap) Fendig of Saint Simons Island. 4 grandchildren, Christina Tedesco, Kim Lake, Tammy Lake, and Christopher Lake. 2 great grandchildren, Kayla Lindsay and Chandler Watts.
