Charles William Ott, age 76, passed away on December 31, 2022 at home after a brief illness. Charles

was born in Queens, NY in 1946, to the late Charles and Anna Ott. He grew up in West Babylon, NY

where he lived until retiring to St Simons Island almost 10 years ago. Charlie was a proud member of

Local 638 Steamfitter's Union in New York City for over 40 years, the highlight of which was helping to

build the new Yankee Stadium.

Charlie loved his family, friends, fishing, baseball, and his weekly game of pool with his buddies.

However, none of these compared to spending time with his beloved dog, Sadie. Charlie and Sadie

walked for miles around the island every day, before returning home to share a meal. Their bond was

very special.

Charlie was preceded in death by his beloved parents Charles and Anna, and sister, Susan Manning.

Charlie is survived by his wife of 38 years, Christine of St Simons Island, his daughters Michelle Cutting

(Tim) of St Simons Island, Kristen Lynch (Eric) of Pelham, MA, his grandchildren Brody Lynch, Greyson

Lynch, Sarah Pritchard, Daniel Pritchard, Kelcey Cutting, Kevin Cutting, and great-grandson Mason.

Charles is also survived by his brothers James Ott (Kathie) of West Babylon, NY and Gerald Ott (Donna)

of West Babylon, NY, sisters Joanne Weir of Fly Creek, NY and Kathleen Nocella of The Villages, FL and

many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

A Memorial/Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family would

like any donations in his name be given to the Humane Society of South Coastal Georgia.
