Clyde Harvey Godley, age 78, of Brunswick, GA. Passed away on Friday afternoon May 30th, 2014 at his home in Arco.
Memorial Service for Mr. Godley is to be held at the Brunswick Memorial Park Cemetery & Funeral Home on Wednesday June 11th at 4:00 p.m. in Brunswick, GA.
Mr. Godley was born December 13, 1935, to R.T. "Red" Godley and Julia E. Godley of Brunswick, GA.
Mr. Godley was a graduate of Glynn Academy Class of 1953, Clyde was a pipefitter and welder by trade for R.E. Thomas Erectors. He later served as a Trooper with the Georgia State Patrol and retired as a Sergeant. He also served six years as a Deputy Sheriff with the Camden County Sheriff's Office in the Courts of Camden County. He was a member of the Brunswick Masonic Lodge #214 and a Shriner with Alee Temple of Brunswick. Mr. Godley was also a member of the Brunswick Elks Lodge.
He leaves to cherish his memory three Sons, Steve and his wife Sheila of Blythe Island, GA., Curt Murphy of Brunswick, GA., and Bob and wife Judy of Woodbine, GA., along with his two daughters, Lesa Godley Allen and Teresa Godley both of Brunswick, GA, as well as ten grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Nita Godley, and parents Red and Julia Godley.
