Daryl "Elwood" Herndon, 54, of Brunswick died Saturday, January 13, 2018 at home. He was born and raised in Brunswick but has traveled the country. He always put others before himself. His children were his entire world. He lived every day for them. Daryl is preceded in death by mother, Peggie Murkerson; and a daughter, Angela Herndon. Survivors include his wife of over twenty-years, Heather Herndon; children, Rebecca Johnson (Buck), Briana Herndon, Joshua Herndon, and Catelyn Herndon; father, William "Scobbie" Herndon; stepmother, Helen Herndon; brothers, James Murkerson, William Eric Herndon, Keith Herndon; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services are to be held on Friday, January 19, 2018 at 2 pm with visitation an hour prior at Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial is to follow after service at Chapel Park Cemetery.
