David Earl Partin, Sr., 84, of Brunswick, passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at the Southeast GA Health Systems of Brunswick. David was in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953 he toured Korea and Germany as a mechanic. He loved gardening and fishing. David loved his church family. He enjoyed spending time with his family especially his boys. David was preceded in death by his loving wife, Doris D. Partin. He is survived by 3 sons, David E. Partin, Jr. (Shari), Timothy A. Partin (Karin), and Brian J. Partin, Sr. (Amy); 2 daughters, Carol A. Cox (Robbie) and Cathy S. Glendenning; 3 sisters, Inez Chambers, Grace Wood (Ronnie), and Marion Phillips; 4 brothers, R.C. Partin (Hazel), Charles Partin (Almetta), Henry Partin (Judy), and Homer Partin (Eddie); and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, September 28, 2014 at Emmanuel Baptist Church, Brunswick, GA with Pastor Spencer Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church.
