David Colby Smith, 29, of Brunswick, GA, passed away suddenly at his home on Wednesday, July 14, 2021. Colby, as he was known by his family and friends, was born Friday, May 15, 1992, to Marsh Smith and David Raab, Sr., in Brunswick, GA. Colby spent his early years in Bristol, GA, on his great-grandfather Darsey Boatright's farm. He attended school in Brantley County from first to tenth grade and graduated from Glynn Academy in 2011. Throughout his life, he always had a smile on his face, kindness in his heart, unconditional love in his soul, and would do anything for anyone. He was preceded in death by his father, David Raab, Sr., of Brunswick; brother, Morgan Pate of Waynesville; maternal great-grandparents, Darsey and Ruby Boatright of Bristol; and maternal grandfather, Marvin Smith of Brunswick. Colby is survived by his mother, Marsha Smith; brothers, David Alan Raab, Jr., and Ryan Alan Griffis; sisters, Norah Houmard (Terry) and Helen Reed (Ashton); and aunts, Maria Smith, Marlene Smith, and Frances Boatwright, all of Brunswick; and several other relatives and friends.
