Obituary

Deborah Ann “Debbie” Tieman Pacifico

Deborah Ann “Debbie” Tieman Pacifico, 70, of Brunswick, Georgia, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2026, at Hospice of the Golden Isles. She was born on August 14, 1956, in Uniondale, New York, to Ben Tieman and Mary Tavinski.

Debbie was a fun-loving spirit like no other. She was an unstoppable force who loved life and embraced the things that brought her joy. She had a special love for animals, especially her beloved cats, Spats, a 27-pound tomcat, and Cotton, her beautiful pure-white cat. She also enjoyed birds, fish, lighthouses, waterfalls, and wildlife-animals and plants. She once grew a 20 foot tall Sunflower. A talented and creative soul, Debbie found great joy in making stained-glass art.

For 40 years, Debbie shared a beautiful life and marriage with her husband, John Pacifico. The two were, as those who knew them would say, “joined at the hip.” Their love and companionship were evident in the life they shared together. John said of his beloved wife, “I will miss her with all of my heart,” while finding comfort in knowing that she is now in a better place, reunited with her parents and siblings.

Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, Ben Tieman and Mary Tavinski; and her siblings, Barbara, Joan, and Robert.

She is survived by her devoted husband, John Pacifico; her brother, Ben Tieman; and many extended family members and friends who will remember her for her vibrant personality, generous spirit, love of animals, and unmistakable zest for life.

Debbie leaves behind a lifetime of memories and a love that will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her. She was truly one of a kind and will be deeply missed.

A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
