Diane Skarpalezos Bowen, 71, of Brunswick passed away Friday, October 24th at the Senior Care Center. She was a lifelong resident of Brunswick and graduated from Glynn Academy. She was employed at Pizza Inn for 15 years, Captain Joe's for 15 years, and was of the Baptist faith. Diane lived in High Hill Lakes where she cared and looked after her neighbors. She had a very compassionate love for her family and her friends. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2PM in the chapel of the Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home. Pastor's Bruce Franklin and Jake Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in the Brunswick Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday night from 6 to 8 in the chapel of the funeral home. Survivors include a daughter, Sandy Bowen of Brunswick; a sister, Rita Skarpalezos (Paul) Finn of Brunswick; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Mike Bowen, and her son, Mike Bowen, Jr.; a brother Johnny Skarpalezos ; and her parents, John and Bess Skarpalezos. Pallbearers will be JoJo Whorton, Mickey Milton, Robert Woodcock, Mike Bearden, Wesley Collier, and Jughead Taylor. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Ahmed Elsharkawi and staff, the Senior Care Center Staff, George Skarpalezos, Lee Skarpalezos, Jeff Boyd, Dale Higginbotham, Ronald Chance Gornto Sr, Ronnie Gornto, Frank Williams and R.
