IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Diane Elizabeth
Davis
May 2, 1948 – November 8, 2023
Ms. Diane Elizabeth Davis, age 75, of Brunswick, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, November 8th, 2023, at Southeast Georgia Health System, with family by her side.
Ms. Davis was born on May 2, 1948, in Waycross, Georgia, grew up in Hoboken, Georgia and graduated from Hoboken High School (1966). She raised her family in Brunswick, Georgia and worked at B&W, Charter by the Sea, Golden Isles Marina, and at Pinova, from where she retired in 2014. After a brief period of residing in Clinton, Mississippi, she returned to Brunswick.
She will be remembered for her unconditional love and spoiling of her grandkids, speaking her mind, her one-of-a-kind laugh, and her dry sense of humor. In addition, friends and family always looked forward to her low country boils, pool parties, and mandatory Thanksgiving and Fourth of July celebrations, hosted and done in her own unique style. For those lucky enough to know first-hand, her expertise for Southern cooking and making the world's best lasagna were unsurpassed.
Survivors are daughter Gina Oleksinski of Lilburn, Georgia and her children Sarah and Davis; son Jeffrey Williams (Melissa) of Pendergrast, Georgia and their children Isabelle, James, Elizabeth, and Joshua; and daughter Nicole Saxton (Dudley) of Blackshear, Georgia and their children Jay Criss and Parker Saxton. She had one great granddaughter Marilyn.
She is also survived by two sisters: Margaret Dixon of Fayetteville, North Carolina, and Rachel Kelly (Harry) of St. Simons Island, GA; and her nephews: Nolan Hyde of St. Simons Island, GA, John Hyde of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Chad Williams (Alicia) of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, and Lance Williams (Brooke) of St Simons Island, GA and their children Lance and Anna.
Diane is preceded in death by her parents, Nolan C. Davis, Jr. and Elouise Wyatt Becknell, and son-in-law Michael Oleksinski.
A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, November 18, 2023, at Hoboken Cemetery in Hoboken. Following the service, a visitation and receiving of friends will be held at 5:00 PM at Mallory Street Café on St. Simons Island.
