Diane M. Hayes, 63, of Brunswick died Wednesday at Hospice of the Golden Isles. She had relocated to the area in 2001, having come from Stone Mountain, Georgia and was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Methodist Church of Brunswick and within the church was a member of the Choir having played the hand bells and was a member the Duncan Sunday School Class. Survivors include her husband, Robert F. Hayes of Brunswick; her daughter, Heather Hayes Cupps of Texas; two sons, Trent Hayes of Macclenny, Florida and Bryan Hayes of Great Lakes, Illinois; one brother, Robert Patterson McKendrick, III of Roswell, Georgia; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Saturday, March 10 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment following in Brunswick Memorial Park Cemetery. Revs. Rick Turner and Wright Culpepper will officiate. Visitation was held the evening of Friday, March 9, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Relay For Life and The Sparrow's Nest. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home, Brunswick, GA.
