Donald Sidney Berg, 75, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2026, Born on March 13, 1950 in Norfolk, Virginia, Donald was the son of Capt. A.C. Berg and Patty Berg.
Donald grew up in Georgia and graduated from Glynn Academy before continuing his education at Brunswick Junior College. After completing his studies, he moved to Love Valley, USA, where he began a life filled with creativity and a passion for music.
A gifted musician and songwriter, Donald found joy in playing and composing music throughout his life. He was well known in the Georgia music scene as a member of the band Flood. Alongside his longtime friends Bob Herrin, Rory Knapton, and Jay Wetzel. Donald brought vibrant performances to audiences under various names such as Tie Dye Sunset and Flood Brothers. His love for music was not only a personal passion but also a gift he shared with countless others. He was and forever will be an amazing man and a wonderful father. We will love you forever!!
Donald is survived by his loving wife, Denise Warren Berg; granddaughter, Maddie Berg, who lives in the home; his daughter Heather Berg Shepherd and her husband Ben; granddaughter Allie, and grandson Zach; his other daughter, Carrie Lee Smith and her husband Claude.
He was predeceased by his parents, Capt. A.C. Berg and Patty Berg; and his brother, Robert Clifford Berg; and his sister, Jean Berg House.
May Donald’s memory live on through the music he created and the lives he touched.
He is now Knockin’ on Heather’s Heaven’s Door!
