Retired Civil Engineer and Veteran of the US Army, Donald Hutchinson's love of God, life, and family could be felt by anyone who met him. Don went to be with the Lord on June 6, 2021. Donald Eugene Hutchinson was born on July 10, 1937, in Metter, GA, where he was a 4-Sport Letterman for Metter High School. While in the Army, Don graduated at the top of his 1961 class as an Outstanding Honor Graduate. He is survived by his lovely bride of 60 years, Jackie Herrin Hutchinson. They have two sons, Stephen Hutchinson (Teresa) and Shannon Hutchinson (Robin); his sister, Charlaine Clutter; his brother Carl Hutchinson; four grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter. He was looking forward to meeting his second great-granddaughter in two weeks. He loved music and sports, especially golf. His love for the simple pleasures of life and family, along with his Christian heritage will continue to live on through the lives of those who loved him so dearly. A visitation service will be held at the Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home on June 9, 2021, from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral Services celebrating Don's life will be on June 10, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at the Golden Isles Church of God in Brunswick, GA, officiated by his brother-in-law, Pastor Robert Herrin, along with Pastor Nathan Smith, and Pastor John Harris. Burial will follow in Brunswick Memorial Park Cemetery. Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
