Doretha Melton Stock, 82, of Brunswick, Georgia died on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at her home after battling a long illness. She was born on June 1, 1939, to the late Henry and Ellen Melton in Brunswick, Georgia. Doretha graduated from Glynn Academy in 1957 and dedicated 26 years of her life to the work she did at the Southeast Georgia Health Systems in communications. She was preceded in death by her beloved fiance, Gert Hortian. Doretha is survived by her siblings, Johnnie, Sue, and Frank; daughter, Joy Sullivan (Mark); son, Billy Stock (Stephanie); adoring former son-in-law, Bubba Wilson; grandchildren, Danielle Grantham (David), Shay Stock, and Desiree Wilson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 15th, 2022 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home, with a funeral service following on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at 3:00 PM.
