Obituary

Doris Marie Hendricks, 64, of Brunswick died Monday at Magnolia Manor on St. Simons Island. She moved here 25 years ago from Savannah. She was a CNA for many years and loved helping people all of her life. She dearly loved her entire family and her church, New Life Sanctuary where she was an active member. Funeral Services will be held Friday at 11 AM at New Life Sanctuary with Pastor Bill Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Palmetto Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday night from 6 to 8 PM in the chapel of Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home. Survivors include her children, David (Lori) Snyder, Fred (Sheila) Snyder, and William (Susan) Snyder, all of Brunswick, 11 Grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews, siblings Miriam A. Conley, James Charles Hackney (Carol), Carol S. Davis (George), Barbara Burton. She was pre-deceased by her parents, Frederick Jr.(Betty), her husband, Gary Hendricks, a grandson, Derek Snyder, 2 brothers, Frederick Hackney III, and Donald Hackney, and a sister, Betty Jane Barnes. Serving as active pallbearers, Justin Powell, Joseph Lankford, Raymond Knight, Alex Jordan, Jordan Yglasius, Travis Carroll, Caleb Heath, and Cody Green. Honorary pallbearers include Wren Thomas, Joshua Carroll, Earl Odum, Vic Morgan, Bruce Franklin, Warnie Hutchinson, and Jeffery Leach, and Jordan Barnes.
