Doris Kate Sumner, 91 of Brunswick, GA died peacefully in her sleep on January 24, 2018. She lived her life serving and loving God, her family, and friends. Doris was a long time member of Glyndale Baptist Church. She was born in Tift county, GA but she lived most of her life in Brunswick. Doris was proceeded in death by her mother Mittie Kate Stephenson, her father Idus Johnny Stephenson, husband James Lee Sumner, and her brothers Roger and John Stephenson. Survivors include children, Ronnie Sumner, Pat Blankenship, and Lisa Goodall, six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Friday, January 26, 2018 at the Brunswick Memorial Park Chapel from 5-7 PM. Funeral services will be held at Glyndale Baptist Church on Saturday January 27th at 10 AM with burial to follow at Brunswick Memorial Park Cemetery.
