Dorothy "Dot" Rose, 75, passed away Sunday, August 15, 2021, at her home in Brunswick with her family by her side. She was born in Darien, GA, but lived in Brunswick most of her life. She was the co-owner and operator of Ted and Dot's Mom and Pop's Motorcycle Shop. She loved to be by her husband Ted's side including working together in their shop. Dot loved family gatherings especially at Thanksgiving and Christmas and enjoyed decorating for these events. She also enjoyed cooking, plants and gardening, fishing, riding Harleys, and caring for her fish and fish aquariums. She liked being outside in any weather and was an animal lover. She regularly attended AA and Al-Anon meetings. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Fred "Ted" Rose; her parents; Marvin and Virginia Hutcheson; daughter, Martha Jane Atkins Harrison; sister, Mureen Large, and brothers, Hugh Hutcheson and Paul Hutcheson. She is survived by her daughter, Kelly "Tigger" Hughes, son, George "Butch" Rozier (Rosemary); granddaughter, Virginia "Jenny" Harrison (David Miller); and sister, Marylin Fox (Michael). A graveside service will begin at 11 am, Saturday, August 21, 2021, at Brunswick Memorial Park. Viewing and receiving of friends will begin at 10:30. Services will be officiated by Chaplain Fred Higgins. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Hospice of the Golden Isles, 6092 Glynco Parkway, Brunswick, GA 31525.
