Dovie H. Jewell, 93, died Monday, May 22, 2017 at Senior Care Center surrounded by her family. A native of Dublin, GA, she was born to Morris and Zenobie Hester. She spent most of her adult life in Brunswick attending Pine Haven Baptist Church before attending Golden Isles Christian Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ray Jewell. Survivors include her sons, Charles Jones (Mary), Danny Jones (Norma Jean), and Tommy Jones; ten grandchildren; several great and great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 25, 2017 at Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home with Reverend Charles Smith officiating. A visitation will be one hour prior to service. Burial will follow the service in Palmetto Cemetery. Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
