BRUNSWICK- Edna Merle Rittenhouse Lazaro, 81, of Brunswick, died Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at Southeast Georgia Health System. A Celebration of Life will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 15, 2020 at Palmetto Cemetery with Pastor Donald C. Combs officiating. Born August 31, 1938 in Brunswick, she was the daughter of the late Edgar Fairbairn Rittenhouse and Margaret Rodgers Rittenhouse. She was a 1956 graduate of New Hanover High School in Wilmington, N.C. and was a 1959 graduate of King's Business School in Columbus, Ohio. Edna retired from the Glynn County Board of Realtors. She enjoyed scrapbooking, going to Disney World and attending "Spooky Empire" with her daughter. She loved the holiday season and especially liked to bake Christmas cookies. She was a member of Lakeside United Methodist Church, where she formerly served as secretary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry M. Lazaro; three sisters, Ovieda Rittenhouse Joyner, Lucy Rittenhouse Sutton and Clara Rittenhouse Gronroos; nieces, Amy Joyner Putnam and Kelly McCannon; nephew, Bill Gronroos. Family members include her daughter, Paula M. Lazaro of Brunswick; her two FUR grandchildren, Sebastian and Rufus Lazaro; nephews, Leon F. "Rocky" Joyner, Jr. and wife Ann of Kennesaw, Eddy Joyner and wife Ava of Lebanon, Tn., Warren Putnam of Moultrie, Ga., Michael Sutton and wife Regina of Baxley, Ga. and Jes Sutton of Grovetown, Ga.; great-nieces, Abi Jones, Ashley Duncan and husband Jonathan and Sarah Sutton; great-nephews, Leon F.
