Edward "Ed" D. Clark, Jr, of Brunswick went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Friday at his residence after a lengthy battle with Thyroid Cancer. He was a lifelong resident of Brunswick and was retired from BellSouth. He operated DC Motion Golf Carts for 9 years, where he enjoyed working alongside his son Devin. He was a member of Norwich Baptist Church and the Telephone Pioneers. He volunteered for Hospice of the Golden Isles and Relay for Life. Ed was a lifetime Classic car enthusiast, an avid Georgia Bulldog fan, and a Nascar fan. He is survived by his wife, Linda Polmanteer Clark of Brunswick; 2 sons, Tracy (Laura) Clark of Newport Beach, Cal; and Devin (Mallory Jackson) Clark of Brunswick; a daughter, Catherine (Joseph) Clark Kipp of Brunswick; 2 sisters, Patricia Hoyt of Brunswick, and Elaine (Dwight) Bolen of Grants Pass, Oregon. 1 Grandson, Colt Timothy Clark, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are to be held Tuesday at 12:00 noon in the chapel of the Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home, burial following in Chapel Park Cemetery. Pastor David Stokes and Dr. Bert Cramer will be officiating. Visitation will be held Monday night from 6 to 8 P.M. in the chapel of the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Larry Norwood, Richard Hoyt, Ray Spivey, Jamie Davis, Rob Burns and Julius Walker. Honorary Pallbearers are Hubert Dent, Jerry Walker, Jerry Took, Conway Dyal, Dr. Walter Scott, Dr. Kevin Fussell, and Donna Lawson N.P.. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Hospice of the Golden Isles.
