Edward 'Ed' C. James, Jr, 93, of Saint Simons Island passed away March 14th at Hospice of the Golden Isles. He had lived in Glynn County the past 14 years coming from Watkinsville. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force, and also retired from the U. S. Department of Agriculture. He is survived by his wife, Peggy B. James of St. Simons Island.; a son, Charles (Pam) Brown of Jesup, and a daughter, Cheryle Brown of St. Simons Island; a sister, Valarie (John) McCaffery of Niantic, CN. Ed is also survived by one grandson, Barry (Errica) Stubbs of Macon. A private family memorial service was held Tuesday in the chapel of the Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home. Inurnment was in the Brunswick Memorial Park Cemetery with Chaplain Pat McCord officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be sent to Hospice of the Golden Isles.
