Eleanor Roberta Faulk Akins, 89, of White Oak, Georgia, passed away on August 11th, 2024. She was born on September 15th, 1934, to the late Elsie and Thomas Faulk in Brunswick, Georgia.

Eleanor enjoyed working with children and spent time as a caretaker, as well as a school bus driver.

A crafty woman to her core, Eleanor enjoyed sewing, macramé, and making ceramics. She was a member of Blythe Island Baptist Church.

Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents, Elsie and Thomas Faulk; her sons, William "Calvin" LaRoche, Larry LaRoche, and Carmen LaRoche; her sisters, Ethel Mazzeo, Evelyn Lightsey, and Linda Young; and brothers, Harold Faulk and Maurice Faulk.

She is survived by her daughters, Phyllis Turner (Mark) and Stephanie "Kim" Vaughn; sister, Leila "Jackie" Brannam; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

A visitation will be held at Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home on Thursday, August 15, 2024, at 1:00 PM followed immediately by a funeral service at 2:00 PM officiated by Pastor Tim Brown.
