Elene E. Rowe passed away at Folkston Park Nursing Home on December 19, 2020, with her sons by her side. She was born April 1, 1941, in Appling Co Ga to the late Willie Norwood (Brinson) Eason and Ouida Corine Carr Eason. In 1956 her family moved to Folkston, Ga., and there she called home and remained until her passing. Elene worked in various jobs throughout her life with Frank Price doing blood tests for marriage licenses, and Stephenson Enterprises clothing factory being most memorable.
Elene was a gifted artist and enjoyed painting and drawing. She enjoyed fishing just as much and spent many wonderful days on the rivers of southeast Georgia alone and with family trying her luck with hook and line. Her Daddy taught her to buck dance at an early age and she could buck dance with the best of them. She had an outgoing personality and a ready smile and never met a stranger. She loved her family and was always ready to spend time with them. She was of the Baptist faith and a born again believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. As her vision failed in the last days, she enjoyed being read to from God's word, especially about Heaven.
She is survived by two sons Michael Crews and Rodney M. Maggart, Sr. (Michelle) of Folkston Ga., two brothers Wilford Maynard Eason (Joyce) of Griffin, Ga, and Sam Morris Eason Sr., (Alene) of Folkston, Ga., and two sisters Maggie Lajuan Eason Guinn (David) of Woodbine, Ga., and Eva Nell Eason O'brian (Ken) of Folkston, Ga., 7 grandchildren, Steven Morgan, Rodney M. Maggart, Jr., Lenzi C. Maggart, McKenzie M. Maggart, Raymond Mark Crews, Jr., Chelsea Crews Yarbrough, and Blake Smyth and 23 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter Julie Crews, and one son Raymond Mark Crews, Sr.
Memorialization will be by cremation. A private family service to honor Elene's life will be arranged at a later date. Condolences may be expressed by signing the guest registry at Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home at
