Elijah Demon Antonio
Myers
July 27, 2000 – June 2, 2026
Elijah Demon Antonio Myers passed away on June 2, 2026, at SGHS, following complications from the long-term health challenges he faced with remarkable courage and strength. He was 25years old and a proud Brunswick High graduate.
Growing up, he loved the family tradition of sharing a mid-week meal and Sunday dinners with his large extended family at his great-grandparents' house. Those gatherings gave all of the cousins plenty of time to grow up playing and spending time together. Going to the movies with his Papa Rusty, Aunt Robin, and cousin Luke was also something he looked forward to often.
His Uncle Ricky and Aunt Angie joined family outings as often as possible, bringing even more cousins along to share in life's adventures.
Elijah was known for his beautiful smile, big expressive eyes, and an endearing personality that made him impossible not to love. Tender-hearted and easygoing, he brought warmth and joy to those around him. Though he had a stubborn streak from time to time, it only added to the charm that made him uniquely Elijah.
He was a true fan of Spider-Man, the Georgia Bulldogs, and video games. He even loved to dance when he thought no one was watching. His gentle spirit, kind heart, and quiet yet powerful light left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. That includes some incredible, inspiring, and remarkable educators he was blessed to have along the way. A very special few opened their hearts and poured love into him, shaping and enriching his life beyond measure. The family would like to publicly acknowledge and thank those selfless souls who touched his life and made it infinitely better.
Like his mother, Candice, and his beloved Papa Rusty, who helped raise him and remained his best friend, Elijah's time here was far too short. He missed them both fiercely. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by his warmth, laughter, and love.
Preceding him in death were his mother, Candice Smith; his Papa, Rusty Smith; his Uncle Jim Denty; his Aunt Angie Smith; and two cousins, Mindy Smith and Traci Reichenbach.
He is survived by his maternal grandmother, Angela Gregory Adickes; his aunts, Sasha Johns and Robin Reichenbach; and his uncles, Ricky Smith, Ronnie Smith (Mary), and Ray Smith. He is also survived by many cousins and extended family members who mourn his passing and cherish his memory.
